what to do if ikvm doesnt support add on vga device

First time I'm ever using a SuperMicro H8SCM-F [1] with the Opteron 4200/4300 "HE" series. [2a] [2b] I'm trying to get the system to VGA output/Mail and/or apply the IPMI iKVM, I'll take either. I think I'm just overlooking and/or am ignorant of something with the VGA output.

Components under Test: (diverse combinations attempted)
- Brand new (3) H8SCM-F [1] with IPMI updated to three.16 (originally 2.02) -- 3 different boards
- Make new (1) Opteron 4256 HE 35W TDP [2a], and
used/pulled (2) Opteron 4332 HE 65W TDP [3a] -- 3 different processors, ane for each boad
- Various PC3 and PC3L UDIMM and RDIMMs in pairs or quads, including
Make new (1) Kingston KVR13LR9S8K4/8 (4x2GiB ECC RDIMM kit)
- Various ATX/SSB 2.x power supplies, including 8-pin Server and four-pivot P4+Molex w/eight-pin adapter

I can get the IPMI to come up and access information technology via Spider web or the Java-based (using 1.6 for max compat) IPMIView software on all of them. I even updated IPMI to v3.16 (from 2.02). I accept also attempted to pull the CMOS battery and shorted the CMOS reset, per manual.

I merely cannot meet the VGA output/Post, non after waiting for minutes. Whenever I use the Java IPMIView iKVM option, it opens the window, simply says "No Signal." I've tried with the IPMI and/or VGA enabled and/or disabled, just in case I had the jumpers orientation wrong.

When I go to the sensors, it always lists the +5V, +12V and -12V to be "N/A". I become no sound from the internal speaker, the default shorted jumper setting. I also get no sound when I remove the jumper and plug in a speaker.

I've used a lot of pre-assembled SuperMicro systems in the by, and assembled lots of various boards, but this is the outset time I'm using a SuperMicro mainboard on its own in a general chasis. I've looked to ensure the chassis is not shorting anything, yanked all cables sans power and the ability switch/LED to ensure nothing is grounding anything.

I'm really at a loss at what I'thou doing incorrectly. Anyone have any suggestions at this point? Thanx in advance. Besides feel gratuitous to suggest a server-centric board. I'thousand attempting to annals for the SuperMicro forums besides, although it doesn't seem to be too agile.

Per SuperMicro, if the BIOS is old, it volition only work with Opteron 4100 processors. The BIOS tin only exist updated on a booting system, and not via the IPMI.

I now have confirmed the system POSTs with but Opteron 4100 processors. I volition exist updating the BIOS on all boards and testing all processors this weekend.

Promise this finds its way into a Google search in case anyone else runs into information technology. ;)
